Leadership

Nate Travis has been our senior pastor for the last few years of more than a century of history in Chester. He preaches most Sundays and loves people and cheesesteaks (real ones). You can chat with him most Sundays following the service in the Welcome Center.

Bryce graduated from James Madison University with a degree in social and criminal justice and the Baptist Theological Seminary of Richmond with a Masters of Divinity. He and his wife Waverly Ann love connecting with those in the community and sharing life together, and are always up for adventure. Whether at the dog park with their chocolate lab Chip or downtown trying a new restaurant, they love experiencing all that is God's creation. 

I am married to my best friend and partner in ministry Jacqueline Peaks, who comes from a rather large overly friendly Puerto Rican family. We are proud parents and grandparents and love our family deeply.  We seek to serve Jesus as a family and to lift Him up so that He will draw people to a saving knowledge of Christ.  As a Worship Leader it is my heart’s desire to see God move in the music and in the services.  Our goal to encourage the Church Body to live a life of Worship each and every day, not just on Sunday.

I've attended Chester Baptist my entire life. As someone who has grown up experiencing all of life’s stages here, from being in the nursery through to adulthood, I am so excited that I get to be a part of bringing up the next generations. I have such fun memories here and hope to create the same for the kids. Working with kids has always been my passion and I am excited to teach the kids the word of God in a fun and interactive way!
